Artist statement
An artist of Welsh and Irish origin now based in France, I work in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, watercolour and linocut.
I have been inspired by my recent move to the south of the Charente after 30 years in the Médoc, and by discovering the incredible landscapes that can be admired there throughout the seasons.
I have been particularly captivated by the intensity of the clouds, and this is reflected in my work.
I often combine different techniques to explore textures and the boundaries between the real and the imaginary. Light and colour are the driving forces behind my work.

Artiste d'origine galloise et irlandaise travaillant avec divers supports, notamment l’huile, l’acrylique, l’aquarelle et la linogravure.
J’ai été inspirée par mon récent déménagement dans le sud de la Charente après 30 années dans le Médoc, et par la découverte des paysages incroyables que l’on peut y admirer au fil des saisons.
L’intensité des nuages m’a particulièrement captivée, et cela se reflète dans mon travail.
Je combine souvent différentes techniques pour explorer les textures et les frontières entre le réel et l'imaginaire. La lumière et la couleur sont les moteurs de mon travail.
